And it turned out right! I didn't get the wrong destination because Chiang Mai is as comfortable as it gets. Chiang Mai is like Yogyakarta. The complete package has cultural tours, the culinary is also very tasty and the living costs are also not too expensive. Really a city that's right for backpackers anyway. Well, here I want to recommend some tourist attractions that become a masterpiece in Chiang Mai.
A little story, in Chiang Mai, there are so many temples and temples that the buildings are very aesthetic, so you just walk enough to go to the temples and monasteries one by one. Therefore if for example, I recommend one by one it will be some chapters so I recommend places that become highlights in Chiang Mai that you must visit!
1. Doi Suthep & Doi Pui Hmong Village
If you go to Chiang Mai, you really have to go to Doi Suthep & Doi Pui Village. The view is really good and it's already become a package visit. The trip to Doi Suthep if from the middle of Chiang Mai city is about 43 minutes. This time it's impossible if we go on foot, because it's definitely going to be really tired, so at that time I decided to rent a motorcycle. Coincidentally the dorm where I live also offers motorbike rental so I don't need to be confused anymore to find a motorbike rental place. If you want to go there, you must have enough clothes to warm your body, yeah, because the place is really cold. I happened to be there when it rained, so it got colder until foggy. Doi Suthep, if I look from people's reviews, it's like the Chiang Mai masterpieces. And I think it's true, because the building is really eye-catching where there are like tall temples soaring and covered in gold. Then around him there are also religious ornaments that make this place more beautiful, but not eliminate its identity as a place of worship. What's interesting about this place is that we can follow the ritual (if I personally call it) our future illumination. So in the ritual we can shake the wooden container containing a kind of chopsticks that have been numbered. Then any number that falls, then we must take the paper by the number. And the paper contains our advice and picture in the future. We can believe this or not. however, I personally think this is a good guideline for us to know how to act. At that time I followed the ritual and I got 27 points and this is how it was written.

Wat Chedi Luang is also a place of worship which is a favorite tourist destination in Chiang Mai. Although the shape of the temple resembles the shape of the temple in Indonesia, I found something that made this visit very special. So since I am also a very curious person, I just entered the main building of the temple. And it turned out that my head was bearing the results of the gais. I found a ritual that I thought was quite unique and I had never done before. But, we have to pay around 10 Baht to be able to participate in this ritual. So, after we pay the 10 Baht, we get one gold paper that can be pasted, one stick to help us to stick the gold paper and one incense stick. The ritual sequence is that we must place one incense as a form of respect as well as permission to visit the temple. Then after that, we can just stick the gold paper to the body of a statue of a Buddhist deity. It turns out that attaching it is quite complicated so that it makes the gold granules stick to my whole hand. So the shape is like in this photo below..

For all your shopaholics you must go to the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar! Here, the package is really complete. All souvenirs are there and in my opinion, the price is cheaper than at the Chatuchak Weekend Market. And what made me most happy was that I could bargain for the price, so at that time I was very happy because I didn't spend too much. What makes me most happy to be here is the culinary too! I happened to be recommended by a friend of mine who is originally from Thailand, if I go to Chiang Mai I have to try Chiang Mai's special curry noodles, Khao Soi. I found it at the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar and it was really delicious !! So Khao Soi is a bowl of noodles which is loaded with beef stew with thick yellow curry sauce and at first glance, it looks like Soto Banjar so it's just different taste. Apart from that Khao Soi also uses spices as a flavoring sauce. Not only does the bowl of noodles contain abundant beef stews, but there are also extra pickles, lime, celery, scallions, and dried noodles, which are Khao Soi's favorite toppings.
